Wheel of Time
Lately I have been re-reading The Wheel of Time series in anticipation of the upcoming book 11 release. Book 11, Knife of Dreams, will supposedly be the second to last book for WoT series. The author Robert Jordan promised to end the series on book 12 even if he has to make the last book 1,500 pages. A normal book usually has 200~250 page. A normal Robert Jordan Wheel of Time book is about 800 pages. So 1,500 pages will be large even for Mr. Jordan. In fact, the book War and Peace that is famous for its length only has 1,400 pages.
Knife of Dreams should tie up a lot of loose ends that has accumulated in the past 10 books. The last 3 books, 8, 9, 10, have been very slow in terms of development. Robert Jodran promised that Book 11, Knife of Dreams, will be fast paced and leave the readers sweating by the end. I hope so, we shall see.
So far, I have re-read 3 books and is now on book 4. Knife of Dream comes out on October 11th, which is about the same time Age of Empires III will comes out (October 18th). Interesting timing in my opinion. I have 6 days to finish 6 more books, which will be a tight fit due to Robert Jordan's insane length on each book. In fact, the book I am on now has 1,008 pages. Probably no further update until I finish all 11 books ^_^
